Odoo: the All-in-One Business Management Platform

A Brief History of Odoo

Odoo's story began in Belgium in 2005, when founder Fabien Pinckaers launched the project under the name TinyERP. As the platform matured and its library of modules expanded, it was rebranded OpenERP in 2010, reflecting its growing open-source community and broader functionality.

In 2014 the project adopted its current name, Odoo, alongside a major redesign that turned it into the unified suite of business apps used today. Two decades on, Odoo is used by millions of companies worldwide, spanning every industry from retail and hospitality to manufacturing and professional services, with a growing footprint among businesses in Muscat and across Oman, supported locally by certified Odoo Gold Partners such as Appness.
