A Brief History of Odoo
Odoo's story began in Belgium in 2005, when founder Fabien Pinckaers launched the project under the name TinyERP. As the platform matured and its library of modules expanded, it was rebranded OpenERP in 2010, reflecting its growing open-source community and broader functionality.
In 2014 the project adopted its current name, Odoo, alongside a major redesign that turned it into the unified suite of business apps used today.
